We had a wonderful time in Jaipur. The architecture, local markets and Rajasthani food were the highlights of our visit. It was a memorable holiday with lots of beautiful pictures.
Delhi, Agra and Jaipur are close enough to fit into one trip, but different enough that the journey never feels repetitive.
Delhi is busy, layered and spread out. Agra slows things down around the Taj Mahal and the old Mughal sites. Jaipur feels different again, with forts outside the city, palaces inside it and markets running through the old streets.
This Golden Triangle tour from Delhi is planned over 5 nights and 6 days, which gives you enough time to cover the main sights without spending the whole holiday rushing from one monument to another.
| Duration | 5 Nights / 6 Days |
| Route | Delhi → Agra → Jaipur |
| Stay | 2 Nights Delhi, 1 Night Agra, 2 Nights Jaipur |
| Starting Point | Delhi |
| Best For | Couples, families, first-time visitors and small groups |

Arrive in Delhi and check in.
If you reach early, keep the evening easy. India Gate or Connaught Place works well without asking too much from the first day.
If you arrive late, do nothing. Rest.
There is plenty to see tomorrow.
Night stay: Delhi

This is your full Delhi day.
Start with Qutub Minar and Humayun’s Tomb. Both need time, and both are better when you are not watching the clock every ten minutes.
India Gate can fit in later.
If you still have time, add Old Delhi or another place that interests you. Do not try to cover eight or nine major sights just because they appear on a checklist. Delhi traffic will decide a large part of your day anyway.
Night stay: Delhi

Leave for Agra in the morning.
The drive usually takes around 4 to 5 hours, depending on traffic, where you start in Delhi and how often you stop.
Once you reach Agra, check in and head to Agra Fort.
If the day still has some energy left in it, Mehtab Bagh is an easy evening option. You get a view towards the Taj Mahal from across the Yamuna without turning the evening into another long sightseeing session.
Night stay: Agra

This is the busiest day of the trip, so start early.
Visit the Taj Mahal in the morning. After that, leave Agra and continue towards Jaipur.
Fatehpur Sikri falls naturally on this route, so it makes sense to stop here rather than plan it as a separate outing.
Spend some time walking through the old Mughal complex before continuing to Jaipur.
By the time you reach Jaipur, the day is done. Check in and keep the evening light.
Important: The Taj Mahal is closed on Fridays. If this day falls on a Friday, the order of sightseeing needs to be changed.
Night stay: Jaipur

Start with Amber Fort.
It sits outside the main city, so doing it first saves you from driving back and forth later.
After Amber, return towards central Jaipur for City Palace, Jantar Mantar and Hawa Mahal.
Hawa Mahal does not need a huge amount of time unless you specifically want to explore the interiors. For many people, the façade and the old-city surroundings are the main attraction.
Keep the evening free.
Walk through the markets, eat somewhere you like or simply stop sightseeing for the day.
Night stay: Jaipur

Check out and continue with your onward journey.
Some Golden Triangle tour packages from Delhi finish in Jaipur. Others include the drive back to Delhi.
Check this before booking, especially if you have a flight or train to catch.

EaseTrippers lets you compare plans and quotes from verified local travel agents before choosing the one that suits your trip.
Request a call backYou can do the Golden Triangle faster.
That does not mean you should.
With six days, Delhi gets a proper sightseeing day, Agra gets an overnight stay instead of becoming a hurried Taj Mahal stop, and Jaipur gets enough time for Amber Fort and the old city.
That makes a big difference.
The route usually stays similar. The details do not.
One package might include a private car and another may not. One may include monument tickets, breakfast or a Delhi return transfer, while another keeps those separate.
Before comparing prices, look at:
A lower price does not mean much if half the things you expected are missing.
| Season | Travel Conditions |
|---|---|
| October to March | The best time to explore Delhi, Agra and Jaipur, with more comfortable weather for outdoor sightseeing. |
| December to January | Mornings can be cold, and fog sometimes affects travel in Delhi and Agra. |
| April to June | Temperatures can be high. Start sightseeing early in the morning and take breaks during the afternoon. |
| Monsoon Season | Travel is possible, but expect humidity and occasional rainfall. |
The best Golden Triangle tours in India are not the ones with the longest list of attractions.
Look at how the trip is actually paced.
If one day includes six monuments, a long drive and an evening activity, it will probably feel exhausting no matter how impressive the package looks online.
For travellers comparing package holidays to India Golden Triangle, it is worth checking the hotel location, road travel, entry tickets and final drop point before looking only at the total price.
Five nights and six days is a good balance for a first trip. You get enough time in Delhi, Agra and Jaipur without turning every day into a long transfer.
Delhi, Agra and Jaipur.
Delhi → Agra → Jaipur is the most common route.
Fatehpur Sikri fits well between Agra and Jaipur.
No. It is closed on Fridays.
If your Agra sightseeing falls on a Friday, the itinerary needs to be adjusted.
Not always.
Some packages include them and some keep them separate. Check the final inclusions.
That depends on the package you choose.
Confirm Delhi–Agra, Agra–Jaipur and Jaipur–Delhi transport before booking.
Yes. It works well for families as long as the days are not overloaded with sightseeing.

We had a wonderful time in Jaipur. The architecture, local markets and Rajasthani food were the highlights of our visit. It was a memorable holiday with lots of beautiful pictures.
This was our second trip with ease trippers, and once again, we had a good experience. The arrangements were smooth, and everything was well planned. It's nice to have a travel company you can rely on for your trips. Looking forward to travelling with them again!
Jaipur was a great choice for a short weekend getaway. We explored the old city, enjoyed local food and visited some beautiful historical places. Overall, a memorable experience.
It was our first visit to jaipur, and we really liked the city's architecture and culture. Amer fort was the highlight for us. The trip was enjoyable, and we returned with some great memories.
We had limited time in Jaipur, so planning the sightseeing properly was important. We managed to cover the main attractions and enjoy the local food too. It was a nice experience overall.
Jaipur is such a beautiful city, and our trip was made even better with good planning and comfortable travel arrangements. We enjoyed visiting the forts, palaces, and local markets. Thanks to EaseTrippers for making the trip enjoyable and hassle-free!
Travelled with my parents and two kids, so I was worried about managing too many places in one day. The plan was kept easy and we still covered amer fort, city palace, hawa mahal and jal mahal. Parents were happy, kids were little bit tired, Overall a perfect trip.
Jaipur was our first short trip after marriage. Amer Fort was just awesome, no words can explain the experience. Be careful of frauds, guys. After checking with many agents, we finally booked with EaseTrippers and had a great experience.
This was our first family trip to rajasthan. We covered jaipur and jodhpur and everything went smoothly. Kids also enjoyed the trip a lot.
Our jaipur trip was really nice. Amer fort was the best part for us and we also enjoyed walking around the local market in the evening
Booked our rajasthan package with ease trippers. There was a small change in our plan at the last moment and the local team managed it without any issue.
We were 5 friends and honestly Jaipur was more fun than we expected. Forts in the morning, Must try samrat kachori. Overall best experience.
We had only 2 days in Jaipur and didn't want to waste time deciding everything after reaching there. The itinerary was already sorted and the driver was on time both days. Hawa Mahal early morning and Nahargarh in the evening. Also we have enough time for shopping.
My favourite part was actually shopping in the old city. We went to Johari Bazaar and Bapu Bazaar after sightseeing and found some really nice juttis and clothes. One thing we realised is that booking with a trusted travel company saves a lot of time and hassle. For us, Ease trippers was the best trip planner in Jaipur.
I had seen hawa mahal so many times on instagram that I thought it might be overhyped, but seeing the old city early in the morning was completely different. We also stopped for local breakfast and spent some time walking around the market. Simple day but probably my favourite one in jaipur.
We booked mainly because none of us wanted to drive around jaipur ourselves. Best decision 😂. Amer, jaigarh and nahargarh in one day would have been irritating with parking and directions. We just sat in the cab and enjoyed the trip.
