Top Places to Visit in Jaipur
Amber Fort
Amber Fort is one of the most famous forts in Jaipur. Located on a hill, the fort is known for its royal architecture, beautiful courtyards and amazing views. You can explore the fort by walking around or enjoy a jeep or elephant ride to reach the fort.
Nearby Attractions: Jagat Shiromani Temple (1599–1608) and Kanak Vrindavan Garden are also nearby and can be visited along with the fort.
Local Food: Pyaz Kachori, Mirchi Bada, Samosa and other local Rajasthani snacks are popular around the Amber area.
Jal Mahal
Located in the middle of Man Sagar Lake in Jaipur, Jal Mahal is a very beautiful place. It offers a stunning view of the palace and the lake, which is perfect for pictures. Coming here early in the morning to watch the sunrise and enjoy the peaceful view is a great experience.
Hawa Mahal
If you are visiting Jaipur, Hawa Mahal is a must-see! Located right in the heart of the Pink City, it looks like a beautiful crown from the outside, but it is equally fun to explore from the inside. When you look out from its 953 tiny windows, you get an amazing view of the bustling local market below. It is the perfect spot for photos, especially if you visit early in the morning or grab a seat at one of the rooftop cafes across the street.
Nearby Attractions: Shri Govind Dev Ji Temple, Kale Hanuman Ji Temple & Tadkeshwar Mahadev Temple.
Local Food: Enjoy famous Jaipur kachoris at Samrat and Puran Ji.
City Palace
The royal family of Jaipur still calls this home. Part of it’s now a museum, and walking through it — seeing old royal outfits, swords, and everyday royal life laid out — really gives you a sense of how grand things once were.
Jantar Mantar
Sawai Jai Singh II was obsessed with astronomy, and this place is the result. It’s home to the world’s largest stone sundial.
Something most people miss: This centuries-old structure still tells accurate time today — off by just about 2 seconds. No battery, no machinery, just the sun and its shadow doing the work.
Nahargarh Fort
Perched above the city, this fort is famous for one thing above all — sunset. Come evening, the whole of Jaipur turns golden when you look down from here.
Something most people miss: Legend says the fort kept getting renamed because it was believed to be haunted by the spirit of Raja Nahar Singh. It only settled down after certain rituals were performed — and only then did the fort actually stay standing.
Albert Hall Museum
Located inside Ram Niwas Bagh, this is Rajasthan’s oldest museum, known for its stunning Indo-Saracenic architecture. Inside, you’ll find miniature paintings, sculptures, and rare artifacts, including an Egyptian mummy. The place also draws a lot of visitors just for photoshoots, and during Diwali, the lighting and decorations here are absolutely worth seeing.
Near Attractions: Ram Niwas Bagh, Moti Doongri Fort, Masala Chowk Food Court.
Patrika Gate
Near Jawahar Circle, this colourful gate has basically taken over everyone’s Instagram feed lately — and honestly, it earns it. The artwork here is unlike anything else in the city.
Worth checking out nearby: It’s actually built inside a full garden — Jawahar Circle Garden
Don’t just snap a photo and leave. Walk through, because there’s a whole green garden behind the gate. And every arch has paintings representing different royal dynasties of Rajasthan — which is why people call it the cultural doorway of Jaipur.
Chokhi Dhani
If you want a taste of village life, this is the place. Puppet shows, folk dances, camel rides — it’s all here, wrapped up in a proper Rajasthani setting.
The real reason people keep coming back is the food. Dal baati churma, gatte ki sabzi, ker sangri — served in clay pots, eaten sitting on the floor. You won’t get that experience anywhere else.
Galtaji Temple (Monkey Temple)
Tucked into the hills, this temple is known for its natural springs and holy kunds. And yes, the monkeys are everywhere — that’s exactly why everyone just calls it the Monkey Temple.
There are generally two routes people take to reach the temple — one straight through the gorge road, and another via Surya Mandir (Sun Temple) over the hilltop. This is local knowledge, so it’s worth double-checking with a local guide before planning the route, since paths can change from time to time.
Sisodia Rani Bagh
Built by Sawai Jai Singh II for his queen, who came from the Sisodia dynasty of Udaipur. It’s a Mughal-style terraced garden with fountains and wall paintings — calm, pretty, and a nice break from the crowds.
The garden walls are painted with the love story of Radha and Krishna. And there’s a clever canal system built into the garden that keeps it naturally cool — proper old-school engineering at work.
Jaipur Biological Park
Love spending time around wild animals and birds? This place is perfect for that. It’s near Kukas, just outside Jaipur, close to Jhalana Reserve Forest, and it’s home to lions, tigers, leopards, and more, all living in big, open spaces instead of small cages, so it feels much more like a real forest than a zoo.
You can drive your own car right inside, or take one of the park’s safari vehicles with a guide instead. There’s also a proper Lion Safari now, where you get to see lions roaming around in an open, natural-feeling setting, with the Aravalli hills and thick greenery all around you. You’ll honestly forget you’re this close to a city. And instead of iron bars, the park uses glass barriers and natural moats, so you feel close to the animals while still staying completely safe.
Jhalana Leopard Safari
Want to spot a leopard without running around all day? Jhalana is the easiest place in Jaipur for that. It’s a forest reserve right inside the city, but once you’re in, it feels like a proper jungle, and leopard sightings here are pretty common.
The safari runs twice a day, morning and evening, in a jeep with a trained guide pointing out animals and trees along the way. People even call it the “mini Ranthambore” of Jaipur, since spotting a leopard here is often easier and quicker than at Ranthambore itself.
This is exactly the kind of experience EaseTrippers loves adding to your package — something different from the usual Jaipur plan.
Birla Mandir
This is a really beautiful temple made entirely of white marble, with lovely idols of Lord Vishnu and Goddess Lakshmi inside. Best time to visit is in the evening, when the whole temple lights up and honestly looks stunning. Right behind it, on the hill, you can see Moti Doongri, which adds to the whole view.
It’s located right in the heart of the city, so it’s super easy to include in your day plan. And once you’re done, just head to Raja Park nearby — it’s famous for all kinds of food, from street snacks to proper meals, so you get a good mix to try after visiting the temple.
