Mathura and Vrindavan aren’t just two towns — they’re the living heart of Krishna’s story. Mathura holds the roots of his birth, with sacred sites like Krishna Janmabhoomi and the centuries-old Dwarkadhish Mandir, while Vrindavan carries the softer, more playful side of the legend — Radha-Krishna’s love, the ghats along the Yamuna where evenings turn into aarti, and lanes that still feel untouched by time. Step further out and the story keeps unfolding, with the Goverdhan Parikrama and the hills of Barsana each adding their own layer to the yatra.
Our Mathura-Vrindavan packages are built to cover exactly this — what to see, how to get there, and how EaseTrippers turns this whole yatra into something simple, well-organised, and genuinely easy to experience.
Whether you’re a devotee here purely for darshan and bhakti, or a traveller who wants to explore the old temples and beautiful spots this region has to offer — EaseTrippers has packages for anyone who wants to explore the whole of Braj. Every traveller’s needs are different, so we’ve built these options:
Just tell us your dates and budget — we’ll match you with the right package and share the Mathura Vrindavan tour package price upfront, no hidden costs.

Just a short ride from Mathura Junction railway station stands the exact spot where Lord Krishna was born — inside an ancient prison cell now enclosed within a large temple complex, along with several smaller shrines. Every year during Janmashtami, this place sees its biggest crowd, as devotees from across the country gather here for the midnight celebrations.

Located near Vishram Ghat on the Yamuna River, Dwarkadhish Mandir is one of Mathura’s famous temples. Built in 1814, it is known for its beautiful black marble idol of Lord Dwarkadhish, with Radharani beside him. The temple’s colorful ceiling, painted with scenes from Krishna’s life, is a major highlight. After darshan, you can explore the nearby lanes filled with bangles, sweets, and pooja items.
Nearby attractions: Gokul, Raman Reti, Dauji Mandir, Kans Qila

Located at the entrance of Vrindavan from Mathura, Maa Vaishno Devi Dham is famous for its 141-foot-tall Maa Vaishno Devi statue and a replica cave of the Jammu pilgrimage route. In February 2025, the complex expanded into Char Dham with Shiv Dham, Radha Krishna Dham, and Shani Dham. Visit in the evening to enjoy the beautiful lighting and explore this grand spiritual attraction. This stop is also included in many of our Mathura Vrindavan tour packages.

Banke Bihari Temple is usually the first stop for anyone visiting Vrindavan, and honestly, it’s the soul of Vrindavan itself. There’s always a crowd, but it feels less like a rush and more like a shared moment of devotion — the second the curtain lifts for darshan, the whole queue breaks into chants, and the narrow kunj galis around the temple echo with the sound. Those same lanes lead straight into a small market, where you’ll find pooja items, bangles, and hot peda being sold on both sides.
Temples right around Banke Bihari:
Special Food (nearby): Try hot kachori-sabzi, creamy lassi, and malai ghewar around Loi Bazaar and Banke Bihari — simple local flavours you shouldn’t miss in Vrindavan.

Just hearing about this place gives you a different feeling. Every evening past 7 PM, everyone — priests, guards, everyone — steps out and the gates close. Locals believe Radha and Krishna come here to play at night, which is why a bed and a few personal items are kept ready inside even during the day, as if waiting for someone. In daylight it just looks like a quiet, tree-covered space, but once you know the story, it feels like something else entirely.

A completely different vibe from the other temples — clean campus, a strong crowd of foreign visitors, and a small museum that tells Krishna’s story through statues and lighting. Good pick for anyone who wants a bit of “exploring” mixed in with the darshan.

autiful by day, but at night, when the whole Prem Mandir lights up along with the fountains, it’s something photos never quite capture — you just have to see it yourself. That’s exactly why it’s one of the most photographed temples in Vrindavan.

As evening sets in, this ghat starts changing colour — the aarti prep, the diyas being lit, the sound of bells building up. People who’ve watched the aarti from a boat say it’s the one moment from Vrindavan that stays with them the longest — the flame flickering on the water, the temple silhouette across the river, and the aarti sound drifting over. The boat ride itself is calming too, especially near sunset when the water settles and the boatman keeps narrating Krishna’s stories along the way.

This is the hill Krishna is said to have lifted on his little finger to shelter the villagers from Indra’s storm — and today, walking or driving its 21-km parikrama is one of the most popular things to do in the whole Braj circuit. The route starts at Daan Ghati Temple and loops past Mansi Ganga, Radha Kund, Shyam Kund and Kusum Sarovar — each with its own story, each worth a short stop. On foot, the parikrama takes 5-7 hours; by car, you’re done in about 1.5-2 hours. Either way, it’s usually the last big stop before heading back from a Braj trip.

About 50 km from Mathura, Barsana is known as the birthplace of Radha Rani. The town has a peaceful devotional feel, and you can often hear devotees chanting “Radha Rani” and “Laadli Sarkar” in the morning. The famous Radha Rani Temple is located on Bhanugarh Hill, and there are multiple ways to reach it, including the stairs, parikrama route, and ropeway. The ropeway is a good option if you want to avoid the climb. The ropeway ticket is around ₹100 per person, so it is better to reach early, especially during busy days.
During February–March, Barsana becomes famous for Lathmar Holi, making it one of the most popular places to visit in the Braj region.
Most temples here open for a few hours, shut for a 3-4 hour break in the afternoon, and reopen in the evening — miss the window and you’re staring at a locked gate. Want fewer crowds? Show up within the first 30-45 minutes of morning opening, or catch the last hour of the evening session.

Booking this Mathura-Vrindavan package with us means your yatra is in the hands of real, local Braj guides who know this land inside out — not a call centre reading off a script. From the moment you land to the moment you head back, everything’s planned around how Braj actually works: comfortable, timely, and suited to your own pace. Whether it’s customizing the itinerary around your convenience, keeping things easy for senior citizens with minimal walking, or making sure every major temple and hidden corner gets covered — this package is built to give you your complete Braj yatra, handled start to finish.
For a less crowded darshan, visit on a weekday morning, preferably Tuesday to Thursday, within the first 30–60 minutes after the temple opens. In summer, this means around 7:45–8:30 AM, and in winter around 8:45–9:30 AM. Weekends and festival days are usually much more crowded.
2–3 days are ideal to comfortably cover Mathura, Vrindavan, and Goverdhan. A one-day Mathura-Vrindavan trip is also possible if you only want to visit the main temples.
Walking the full Goverdhan Parikrama usually takes around 5–7 hours. By car, the complete route can take around 1.5–2 hours, depending on traffic and stops.
There is no official online booking for darshan. Tokens are given at the ashram on a first-come, first-served basis. A local guide can help you understand the process on the day.
Most Vrindavan temples close for a few hours in the afternoon and reopen in the evening. ISKCON Temple and Prem Mandir generally remain open through the day, but timings can change on special days.
Yes. Family and senior citizen-friendly packages can include private cabs, comfortable stays, and less walking, making the trip easier for elders.
October to March has the most pleasant weather. If you want to catch the energy of Holi or Janmashtami, that’s a special experience too — just book your stay in advance.
His ashram, Shri Hit Radha Keli Kunj, is on Parikrama Marg in Vrindavan, near Varaha Ghat, right opposite Bhaktivedanta Hospice. You might hear talk of a “new ashram” somewhere else, but this is still his main and permanent location.
