This 5 night 6 days Kerala tour package follows an easy south-central Kerala circuit without changing hotels every single day.
The plan gives Munnar two nights, followed by one night each in Thekkady, Alappuzha and Kochi.
| Detail | Information |
|---|---|
| Duration | 5 Nights / 6 Days |
| Kerala Entry Point | Kochi |
| Destinations | Munnar, Thekkady, Alappuzha, Kochi |
| Suitable For | Couples, families, friends |
| Travel Style | Hills, backwaters, nature, heritage |
| Route | Kochi → Munnar → Thekkady → Alappuzha → Kochi |

Reach Kochi and begin the drive towards Munnar.
It is a fairly long hill journey, so there is no heavy sightseeing planned for the first day. Kerala Tourism itineraries usually allow about four hours for the Kochi-Munnar drive.
If you arrive early, stop briefly at Cheeyappara or Valara Falls on the way. Otherwise, head straight to Munnar, check in and keep the evening free.
Main Route: Kochi → Munnar
Optional Stops: Cheeyappara Falls, Valara Falls
Things to Do: Scenic drive, short photo stops, relaxed evening

Keep the second day entirely for Munnar.
Start with Eravikulam National Park, then move towards Mattupetty Dam and Echo Point. If there is still enough time, add the Tea Museum or a plantation stop later.
Main Locations: Eravikulam National Park → Mattupetty Dam → Echo Point
Optional Stop: Tea Museum / tea plantation
Things to Do: Nature sightseeing, tea-country views, short walks, photography
Eravikulam is one of Munnar’s major attractions, but Kerala Tourism notes that the park normally closes during February and March for the Nilgiri tahr calving season. An alternative stop should be used during closure.

Leave Munnar after breakfast and drive towards Thekkady.
The journey is usually around 3.5 to 4 hours, so there is still enough time for one main experience after check-in.
A spice plantation visit fits comfortably into the afternoon. If timings and availability suit, Periyar Lake boating can be added separately.
Main Route: Munnar → Thekkady
Main Experience: Spice plantation visit
Optional Experience: Periyar Lake boating
Things to Do: Plantation visit, spice shopping, relaxed evening

After breakfast, leave for Alappuzha.
Allow around four to five hours for the drive. Kerala Tourism package routes commonly use the same Thekkady-Alappuzha transfer before the backwater stay.
Once you arrive, keep the rest of the day for the backwaters.
You can choose an overnight houseboat or stay at a hotel or resort and take a shorter cruise, depending on the package you prefer.
Main Route: Thekkady → Alappuzha
Main Experience: Backwaters
Stay Options: Houseboat or hotel/resort
Things to Do: Backwater cruise, village views, quiet evening
Kerala Tourism describes Alappuzha as one of the state’s major backwater destinations and highlights houseboat cruising through the region.

Leave Alappuzha and continue towards Kochi.
Fort Kochi is about 53 km from Alappuzha, which leaves enough time for a relaxed afternoon after reaching the city.
Spend the rest of the day around Fort Kochi and Mattancherry rather than trying to cover the entire city.
Main Locations: Fort Kochi → Mattancherry
Optional Stop: Marine Drive, if time permits
Things to Do: Heritage walk, shopping, waterfront time, food
Stay overnight in Kochi.
Keep the final morning free.
Depending on your return timing, have breakfast, pick up a few last-minute purchases or take a short walk before heading to the airport, railway station or bus point.
Your 5 nights 6 days Kerala package ends here.
You might want another night in Munnar, a longer backwater stay or less city time in Kochi.
