A honeymoon in Kerala does not need seven days of nonstop sightseeing.
This Kerala honeymoon package for 7 days leaves room for the places you came to see and for the moments you did not plan. Two nights in Munnar, a night in Thekkady, one around the Alappuzha backwaters and two nights in Kovalam make up the trip.
You will move around, but not every morning.

Land in Kochi and head straight towards Munnar.
The scenery does most of the work on this day. City roads slowly turn into winding hill roads, and the landscape gets greener as you climb.
If you reach with enough daylight, stop at Cheeyappara or Valara Falls along the way.
By the time you get to Munnar, you will probably want dinner and some rest more than another sightseeing stop.
Main Route: Kochi → Munnar
Optional Stops: Cheeyappara Falls, Valara Falls

Wake up in Munnar without having to pack your bags again.
Start with Eravikulam National Park if it is open, then move towards Mattupetty Dam and Echo Point.
After lunch, decide how much more you actually feel like doing. The Tea Museum is easy to add. So is a plantation visit. Or you can head back, take a walk and enjoy the evening instead.
Main Locations: Eravikulam National Park → Mattupetty Dam → Echo Point
Optional: Tea Museum or plantation visit
Note: Eravikulam National Park closes seasonally during the Nilgiri tahr calving period. Another Munnar stop should be used when the park is closed.

Leave Munnar after breakfast and drive towards Thekkady.
It is a lovely stretch of road. Tea gardens start giving way to forests, spice farms and smaller hill settlements.
Once you settle in, visit a spice plantation and see where cardamom, pepper and other local spices actually grow.
There is time for one more experience in the evening. Pick Periyar boating or a cultural performance rather than trying to do both.
Main Route: Munnar → Thekkady
Main Experience: Spice plantation visit
Optional: Periyar boating or cultural show

After breakfast, leave the hills behind and travel towards Alappuzha.
The landscape changes slowly. Mountain roads disappear, coconut trees become more common, and by the time you reach the backwaters the whole pace of the trip feels different.
If you have chosen a houseboat, board and settle in for the afternoon.
Prefer staying on land? A backwater resort with a shorter cruise works just as well.
This evening is better without a checklist. Dinner, the water outside, and nowhere else to be.
Main Route: Thekkady → Alappuzha
Main Experience: Backwaters
Stay Choice: Houseboat or resort

Have breakfast and begin the drive towards Kovalam.
This is one of the longer road days, so nothing ambitious is planned after arrival.
Check in, take some time to rest and head to the beach when the sun is lower.
Walk for a while. Find somewhere for dinner. Stay for sunset.
That is enough for today.
Main Route: Alappuzha → Kovalam

No early start today.
Have breakfast when you feel like it and spend the day around Kovalam.
You could walk towards the lighthouse, book a spa session, find a place for a slow lunch or simply stay by the sea.
If both of you want to see Thiruvananthapuram, it is close enough for a short visit. If not, leave it.
A honeymoon does not become better because you managed to fit one more attraction into it.
Main Base: Kovalam
Optional: Thiruvananthapuram visit

One last breakfast, one last look at the sea, and then it is time to check out.
Head to Thiruvananthapuram Airport or Central Railway Station according to your return booking.
If you have a late departure, use the extra time for lunch, shopping or one final walk before leaving.
And then, home.
Maybe you want three nights in Munnar and less time by the coast.
Maybe the houseboat is non-negotiable.
Maybe you want Varkala instead of Kovalam.
That is exactly why honeymoon itineraries should not be treated like fixed templates.
Compare different plans from verified travel agents and choose the one that feels right for both of you.
Request a Call BackThe route might look the same at first glance. The details usually are not.
One package may give you a private houseboat. Another may have the better hotel in Munnar. Room upgrades, transfers, decorations, dinners and spa experiences can all vary.
EaseTrippers gives you a way to compare those differences before choosing.
Yes. It is long enough to see the hills, backwaters and coast without spending the whole honeymoon checking in and checking out of hotels.
A comfortable route is Kochi → Munnar → Thekkady → Alappuzha → Kovalam, with the return journey starting from Thiruvananthapuram.
It keeps moving south, so you are not driving all the way back to Kochi on the last day.
The Kerala honeymoon package for 7 days price changes with the season, hotel category, houseboat, transport and any extras you choose.
A private houseboat or premium room will naturally cost more than a standard stay. The same goes for decorations, spa treatments or a special dinner.
If the backwaters are one of the reasons you chose Kerala, yes.
An overnight houseboat gives you a much slower experience than a quick cruise. Couples who prefer a larger room or more facilities can stay at a resort instead and still enjoy the waterways during the day.
For this route, yes.
You arrive on Day 1 and have Day 2 to properly explore. One night would make Munnar feel rushed.
Not necessarily.
Thekkady gives you spice plantations, forest scenery and a nice break between Munnar and Alappuzha. If that does not interest you, the night can be added somewhere else.
Yes. By this point in the trip, two slower nights near the sea feel quite welcome.
It also puts you close to Thiruvananthapuram for the journey home.
October to March is popular because the weather is comfortable for most outdoor plans.
The monsoon has its own charm and Kerala turns beautifully green, but heavier rain can change road and sightseeing plans.
Yes. You can move nights around, swap Kovalam for another beach destination, choose a houseboat or resort, skip Thekkady or add couple-specific experiences.
